[3Ds Max 2015] Mouse Navigation Fix

Hey guys,
I'm working with scenes where I get a 3D Object that is offset from the origin. When I use my mouse navigation in the scene, this means that the panning and scroll zooming only works as intended if my mouse is over the object I'm working with. If my mouse is ever in the negative space area of the scene, Max will try to rotate around the scene origin which is often wonky from the scale and placement of the object I'm working with.

Is there any way to ensure that the mouse navigation is consistent to the area of the scene I am working in? It works perfectly fine when my mouse is placed over an in scene object and would just like it to stay that way regardless.
