ZBrush Mac - Only Move brush works, no others.

So I'm trying to use ZBrush for a project this week, and it seems that only my move tool works. None of the others function! I scrub over my subdivided mesh with the brushes and it doesn't modify my mesh at all, however move works just fine.

Any ideas?

Oh also - whilst we're all here ...
I'm also having an issue in Photoshop where every couple of keyboard shortcuts I use they stop functioning until I switch tools. Kinda frustrating for undoing and using other shortcuts

Do you have spotlight projection on?

I was having the same issue, and indeed, Spotlight Projection (Brush --> Samples) was turned on.  I turned it off, and now it works as expected.  Thank you, Ray.
