Need Help with Stylised 3D assets and 2D Stylised Hand Painted Textures.

Hello, my name is Jack and I am looking for help. I am currently in my final year at University studying game art and have decided that for my final major I would like to make a 3D platforming game level. I also decided to do it in a hand painted stylised theme. Which sounds great but the trouble is I have never touched this style before and I am not the best at painting/drawing/texturing. This has been leading me to many different problems such as having to learn from the very beginning and is slowing my progress D:.

Here is are a few examples of where I am up to.


Tillable Grass texture for base layer. (Would have tall grass and such on top.)


Work in progress Well. (Cobble around the base is NOT my texture and is merely a placeholder.)


Some Spoopy Skairy Pumpkins.

So let me know what you people think. Please don't be easy on me because I won't learn that way, however at the same time I would like to know how to salvage from these not start over.
