Character(s) wip- based of a book and 90-s animation

Hi!
Planning to build up all those 3 characters just for fun and practice.

Not gonna follow the exact illustration style but something like a novadays animations trendings are in 3D (simplistic, cute)

The fist chars progress i got so far (in dynamesh and very rough polypaint). Planning to refine some shapes and folds and start the retopo...and after this the texturing work.

Let me know what could be better or if something feels odd, then also would like to hear some propositions.

nice. i always black out my avatar, i think that helps with the visuals.  for the tuxedo lapels, i would use a interior line and change the fold angle on it.  you can set fold angles to either stay flat (180), fold over onto itself  (0) or fold back under itself (360)  (and those two might be reversed, cant remember which direction goes for what angle) but changing the fold angle should help your simulation and take away the need for some of those pins!

The skin is too "real" which is giving it a very creepy vibe, though it could just be the lighting. I would probably try to minimize the amount of noise and imperfections which might give you a better result

@ Alemja: yeah, i agree about that..deffinetly gonna mess with the skin abit more. Was trying to test some odd mixtures, real like mixed with cartoony...but it might be best to stay full cartoony..well see how it goes.

2nd char in progress...clothing works..after that retopo for clothes. Characters body is using the modified mesh of the 1st char..just need to tweak those UV-s to loosen the stretches.
