Hi guys Im in a bit of a pickle trying to figure out how to do hair for games. I have part of the work flow down of making the hair planes but after that I get lost and lose so much time trying to figure out what to do next. I was following this work flow http://www.3dartistonline.com/news/2015/04/how-do-i-create-real-time-hair-for-games/ with some understanding of whats going on. But I would like to know if there are any other workflows that you guys use and can help me with?

Thanks

    TLDR:
It's complicated, took me a while but i figured it out, i'll try to help.

Nope that is the one i used:https://cdn1.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/002/844/757/large/david-cruz-undeadjokerwip.jpg?1466382613
and it was my first time working with plane hairs, I pretty much took 3 days to figure it out on my own and actually learned some neat "fix" tricks that helped make it pop even more(for me) but that tut pretty much tells it all.  (Kind of seemed like i want to tell you but i don't want to tell you tutorial ;) lol.)
In reference to the slight holes, perhaps it was a 1st time guide, which would then fall under it happens and was/is an honest mistake.

Though i think at one of two points i had to fill in the holes that someone might run into so idk how much help i can be since this is my 1st go at it and it went suprisingly well though it actually did take 3 days on and off working with sorting out the hair planes and doing it over once to be sure i understood what i was doing and how to get around to getting the look i wanted.

Unreal has some new thing about hair i forget what the story is on that but that would be the next thing to learn or so i hear, there is also a maya plugin that does all the work for you i think? but that is a Paid for plugin.
No one held my hand to figure it out, just random fyi.
I guess you just have to fully understand the apps to gather what he was doing and what he states in the guide, i actually rather appreciate his efforts in contributing and taking a lot of the guess work out of it, i kind of made the process my own now and feel i can enhance the results but if unreal has an easier and more realistic method with better results i would go with that.
