Creating Fur

Hey Everyone, I am currently working on a model of a Jaguar. It is coming a long very well. I am happy with it. At some point when I finish adding the detail to the model I need to consider how I am going to render the fur.

I am looking to maximize the quality of my mesh while still being to reasonably render it in Unreal Engine. I must say I have two different purposes. One purpose is that I would like to be able to animate the mesh and use it as a playable character in UE4. The other purpose is for a high quality render(s) that I would like to use for creating concept art. I don't have any experience with fur.

For the using the mesh in game, how should I approach adding fur to the mesh?

For concept art and rendering what approach should I use for fur?

I am modeling the big cat in Maya and Zbrush.
