Qualifications:

  • Preferred:
    • Ph.D. or master's degree in art/design related field.
    • Extensive university level teaching experience and/or demonstrated training experience.
    • Relevant industry experience is desirable, particularly art/design experience.
    • Proficient artistically and technically in any 2D or 3D software including, but not limited to, Photoshop, ZBrush, Maya.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in art, design or media related field (eg. film, video, or interactive media)
    • College or university level teaching experience and/or demonstrated training experience.
    • Four years professional experience in art/design, not necessarily limited to computer/video games, graphic design and UI.
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Activities:

  • Develop and refine content for, but not limited to, figure drawing courses.
  • Lecture and teach in a classroom setting on a daily basis.
  • Teach fundamentals in figure drawing with an emphasis on gesture and anatomical accuracy for both real and imagined figures.
  • Provide creative direction and criticism to students on assignments.
  • Work closely with art faculty to develop an ongoing and constantly improving curriculum that promotes interdisciplinary learning and reflects industry trends.
  • Organize and manage time efficiently for multiple classes.
  • Grade, critique and input assignment data on a weekly basis.
  • Act in the capacity of an academic advisor for students.

Salary:
