my brother made a app that you can make your own cubemaps with,
its free so feel free to try it out;
https://itunes.apple.com/se/app/cubemapper/id1104757998?mt=8

suppose to work for all iphones and ipads.
the big button captures while you press it, the smaller one is a toggle.
currently only saves as horizontal cross, and remember to switch on smooth stiching in the settings.
any feedback are welcome!

    oh wow nice work! I just tried it and its pretty cool! I do get a lot of seams everywhere but its still good for making a simple blurry lighting sphere, is there an optimal way to hold my phone or something? even just changes in exposure can make jarring seams.

    edit: the smooth stitch setting in the settings (top right) does seem to help somewhat!

    thanks, cool you like it!
    also, the first time you press either button, it will lock focus and whitebalance. so the first capture should be on an area with medium to high light.

    it will obvously work better outdoors, when you have greater distance to things, since small movements of the phone wont have that great affect on perspective and such.
