Help! - Mesh disappears after re-export from the viewport

Me and some of my friends have strange problem with the re-exported meshes in the CE3 editor. More often than not, mesh disappears from the editor's viewport after i re-export it from Max 2014 to cgf. If it was selected at the time of the export i can still see the gizmo and move the exported object but i cannot make it visible in the editor. I have to restart the editor to make it visible, which is less than optimal.
Only other trick we found to work is to delete the exported mesh and then to press Ctrl+Z and it reappears. But this works only if i select all the meshes of the same instance, which can be problematic. We have quite diverse collection of hardware so it is most likely not HW related. We tried fresh install of Win7 and related software, problem is still happening. This happens randomly, we cannot find any correlation to our workflow.
To make this even more confusing, two of us seem to be immune to this problem and don't experience this issue at all.
Any idea what causes this problem and how to fix it? thanks!
