3DS Max 2016 - Crashes at Startup

Hi everyone,

I'm having issues with 3DS Max 2016.  The splash screen will load up, it'll run through all the plugins and will say it's starting 3DS Max and then it crashes.  At first it was giving me a dialog box that says the program has crashed but its not even doing that now.  I'm not sure whats going on and I can't find anything relevant when I google.  I have both Mudbox and Maya installed on this machine as well and have no issues with them.  I'm also on Windows 7.

Bump.  Still not having any luck.  I've tried deleting everything and reinstalling a couple times and still nothing.

Try delete the folder for your max in here, it might reset it. I had an issue where max didn't load anymore, deleted that folder, and it started to work again. You lose all your settings though.

C:\Users\Cody\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax

Thanks for the suggestions guys.  @codyaq2 I deleted the folder and still nothing.  This is the first time using/installing 3DS Max so I don't have any saved settings.  @Shaz_Snow I've already tried repairing the install.

I found some service packs on the Autodesk website and installed them as well but that didn't fix it either.

If anyone else is having a similar issue,  I fixed it by installing the new AMD Crimson drivers.

Which version did you install.. please help me.. i am using windows 8.1. My graphic card is AMD Radeon R7 200 series.
