Hello!

Well, it's been a while since i did any 3d , so i need to catch up a bit. I'm thinking of doing something like this:

But i'd like, before i start doing anything, to get some help on how to approach something like this. Mainly, that dragon around the pillar.

Do you just model the dragon around the pillar and detail it in ZB as it is, or do you make standalone mesh, detail it, and then just somehow bend it around the pillar? If the former....even though dragon is bent around the pillar, it still has some mirroring going on, can i still make use of that somehow, even when in that pose?

And lastly, what is the best approach to make scales like that? I'm learning ZB, but these are some problems i'm not too sure what would be the most effective way to do it; after all, time is money in this industry.

Tnx!
(also, i'll be posting screens here as i work, which is why i'm posting this in showcase and not general forums)
