I'm not a manga artist but I had to pick this up. $15.00 for the pro version.

You can mix vector line art and raster colour layers in the same document, use in-built poseable 3d mannikins as figure ref, there's a host of tools similar to Lazy Nezumi Pro (which I wouldn't be without) and a whole lot more. You can export to PSD and back too, and there are Letratones!

I see me using this for quick concepting at first until I get used to the tool-set but for 15 bucks, it's a no-brainer purchase for me.

Clip Pro Studio is a pretty awesome tool--I love how crisp and smooth its pen tool is, and you can really quickly get very smooth painted textures with the watercolor brush, if I recall. It reminds me a lot of Paint Tool Sai, and is just as fun to use...certainly worth 15 bucks.

I absolutely love Manga Studio (same program as Clip Studio Paint - only the name is different). The program has a lot to offer and is a great companion app to photoshop.

Also just wanted to clear up the fact that the "pro" version on sale here is just the regular version of the app, while the advanced versions of both MS and CSP are labelled "EX" ... if I understand correctly.

That's accurate, Pior. Make sure to check the EX functions to make sure the reason you're buying isn't an EX only feature... Most of them are related to printing and comic creation functions though, if you just want to draw or paint, Pro is fine.

Speaking of painting, while 200 brushes is way overkill...

I can definitely recc this. I have two or three brushes from this set that I use daily over the included default brushsets, and it's well worth its money for that alone.
