Hi! I'm relatively new to sculpting in Zbrush, and I'm trying to sculpt hair for the first time. I've seen people use hair strips to lay out the basic shapes of their hair, but I don't know how they do it. Is there a quick and easy way to lay out hair strips? This is the kind of hair I'm trying to achieve;

I'm not going to worry about the individual strands of hair for now, but I'm trying to make the same kind of large chunks of hair that you see in the picture underneath the smaller strands.

I feel like I'm missing something... I've tries using the method demonstrated in this video;

But if I try to layer one strip on top of another, it basically looks like crap. It's as if the upper strip is trying to cling to the strip beneath it. I just have no idea what I'm doing at this point... Any help is appreciated!
