r9 390 vs 970 for 3D
interpolator
Hey guys, i have am in the process of updating my workstation and i am kinda undecided about which gpu i should get. I am upgrading from a 650 ti boost which is kinda struggling at running complex scenes in unreal engine 4 at maximum quality.
So far i have one good thing and one bad thing for each of these gpus:
The 970gtx seems to have 3,5gb of effective ram before hitting some slowdown hits the fps, butthe drivers are really good on the nvidia side.
The 390 seems to have 8gb of video ram and looks more future proof in that way but the drivers dont seem to be as good as nvidias ones.
Do you have any suggestions in which way i should go?
Anybody out there with a r9 280 or 290 series card that can tell me his experience with those cards? I will be mainlly running 3d max, marmoset, unreal and photoshop

Edit: Apparentlly you can oc the 970 like a champ, it even looks to run as a 980 with some oc, totally decided now
