Broken UVs?

Hey, just wondering why this has happened in 3D Studio Max:

The UVs with a white border appear to be broken? They were a bunch of overlapped UVs that I was going to offset by 1 for baking, but now when I click them it's like they've all merged together.

Cheers!

which max version do you use?
the newer version dont merge overlapping uv shells anymore when they produce no outline. the older ones did.

Yeah, you can merge any UV coordinate to any other UV coordinate in Max. Even if they're for entirely different vertices, it's kinda strange.

You should be able to select the stacked islands one at a time (you'll need to do that via deselecting in the 3D viewport) and hitting Ctrl+B in the UV Editor to break the shells off into unique shells.

I think I used 2015 when I baked this object, but I'm on 2016 now. I'll report back if it happens again - cheers both. :)
