OctoKube polycounter lvl 2
Hi, if im going to set up a skin shader for my character's face should i keep the uvs of the face separate from any other material, for example eyes and hair...or can i have them on the same uv map and assign the skin shader to the face area only. This is in Marmoset toolbag btw

Ive played with the masks but the material seems to have an overall effect on all the uv space. Whats the best approach?

If the mask isn't working for you it's fine to set up a second UV set, but the mask should work. Depends on the quality level you're going for too. Something like Drake in Uncharted 4 would have separate materials for eyes, hair, face, etc. Something more like an Overwatch character or something might only have 1-2 so you'd want to get that mask working appropriately.
