Hey guys

What's better when unwrapping game meshes: to aim for less seams or less distortion in the UVs?

I'm trying to unwrap an organic shape and it's either I get very distorted UVs or very nice ones but with lots of cuts.

    Personally I would see what you can get away with (i.e. start with less seams, but if things are distorted break them up where necessary). Programs like Mudbox or Substance Painter make it really easy to paint without having to worry about seams. Hope that helps!
