Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and exceptionally skilled team-player with a proven track record.
The right candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent creative, technical and visual skill.
The candidate will be a skilled Artist with a passion for all forms of character art, with the ability to produce world class, believable and engaging real time characters.

Required:
  • Strong visual awareness and artistic ability
  • Experience of working in a professional creative environment
  • Expert knowledge of Max/Maya
  • Expert knowledge of ZBrush/Mudbox
  • Skilled in Photoshop

Lead Level Designer

Creative Assembly is looking for a proven world class Lead Level Designer.


Responsibilities
Plan and direct the creation of story based level design
Collaborate and communicate closely with the project's creative leaders to effectively deliver on the vision.
Manage and mentor the level design team
Work closely with team leads and development production
Continuously look to improve processes and technique to achieve outstanding results
Requirements
Experience as a lead or senior level designer
Demonstrate deep understanding of level design, environments and a solid understanding of a wide variety of game types
Take responsibility and ownership for providing high level direction and guidance on all level and mission design
Communicate regular updates to discipline and team with key achievements identified
Work with all disciplines to iterate and deliver level design within scope and understands designs impact team wide
Define game pacing, targets for achievement, flow of game and produces, consistency of mechanics and difficulty curves
Produce documentation and design to define to the team the goals and experience of the games levels
Evaluate and develop the level design team, works closely with lead designer to identify areas to improve and encourage
Evolve departmental processes and encourages team work and communication
Able to use a wide variety of tools to quickly prototype and deliver early mission designs and examples of environments
Work with the production team to help ensure the smooth running of the development process
A passionate “design enthusiast” who is interested in, and has proven knowledge on game design theory, approaches and methods
Able to give effective critiques and also take feedback and criticism honestly and openly
Lead Multiplayer Level Designer
