DQ's 2D Art Thread :)
Hey peeps, I'm David. Welcome to my 2D art thread! C&C Are appreciated.
So I've started watching Battlestar Galactica and I LOVE IT. (***BTW, I'm only on season 2 so please, no spoilers!!!! :C***)
First up, Starbuck!
I drew this while watching an episode, so a 45min-ish drawing. Hopefully I'll end up with the whole cast.
Before each episode, I decide which character I want to draw, google up some reference material and keep it to the side.
I'm not sure yet if I want to take this further to a more complete/coloured stage. To me, the linework is 50% complete. My main concerns were to get the gesture and all the major elements in before the show ended. Hopefully as I do more, I'm able to complete more. Some areas I'd like to improve are the legs/feet. I've gotten used to drawing the upper halves of bodies so I tend to be lazy when I get to the shoes.
If you guys have any tips or tricks to give, I'd be glad to receive.
