Hey guys,

I was contacted by someone who asked if I could help out with solving how to author vertex colors in Maya with real-time preview. I took the opportunity to try out the new ShaderFX in Maya 2015 and put together a video to show how this could be done. I'm still quite new to ShaderFX but it was quite easy to get into if you're familiar with authoring shaders in a node based editor. Figured I might as well share it with the polycount community as well.

I'm considering on making a follow up video with refining the blending with height info in the alpha channel of the tiling textures.
