[Chivalry] – Double Axe – Titan's Double Axe

Hellllllo,

I'm going to do my best to get some kick ass weapons made for this contest. I'm going to attempt to create a weapon set of axes - Titan Axe Set. 3 axes in total; double axe, dane axe and a halberd. Maybe even a hatchet if I have enough time.

As per the rules i'll be keeping separate wip threads per weapon.

Annnnnnnyway, here is how the first weapon is looking thus far. My other weapons will be of a similar theme.



I think I'm going to try do all three weapons simultaneously instead of one after the other.. we'll see!

I wonder if you're planning on modeling the holes in the axe heads? The limit is pretty high.

That is one solid axe! I know this is still early, but be wary of shapes that look too machine-made.

Noth, yes the plan as of now is to model those holes.

Thanks Lucas, I appreciate the feedback. I think/hope the machined look will fade after a zbrush pass. I'd also argue that the Blacksmith who made this insane weapon was highly skilled :P

I like how it looks like it belongs to the Agatha faction, but I think the axe blade is too thick. It might work in WoW, but I'm not so sure in Chivalry. Then again, they have 50lb mauls already in game, which should be impossible to swing effectively...

Nice! Really liking the + cut outs. Going to do the handle with leather wrap or a metal maybe?
