War of Rights

The Team
Campfire Games is a company of highly dedicated developers, currently working on their first game. When development was started on War of Rights almost one and a half years ago. It was done by two rookie developers with close to no experience in game development. After a while we began taking game development very seriously and was after 8 months joined by the team behind the mod North & South. Today the team consists of 10 developers scattered around the globe.

Mads - CEO - Level Designer
Emil - CEO - Modeller - Texture Artist
Said - Character Artist
Frede - Modeller
Stuart - Modeller - Texture Artist
Kyle - Animator
Noah - Composer
George - Historical Advisor
Hinkel - Community Manager

The Project
War of Rights puts the player in the shoes of a soldier in the American Civil War. The game is a first person shooter with a lot of weight on the immersive aspect of the experience. We intend to include a chain of command system and give the officers the correct tools to more easily control their troops. Our dream is to make War of Rights the dream of every American Civil War reenactor. We put a lot of effort into making sure our map meets its real life counterpart as closely as possible. Therefor we've made sure the roads, forrests, various fields and buildings are as close as possible as to how they looked in 1862.

The Progress
We're currently working on getting our first bunch of characters animated and ingame. When the game first started development, we decided on creating "The Battle of Antietam" which is our first map. There still needs to be created a lot of buildings for the various farms, apart from that, the map is starting to look quite polished. We look forward to soon start getting the game ready for some gameplay tests.

Open Positions
Programmer
It's important that you have a lot of experience with C++ as well as some experience with coding in Cryengine. We've already got some gameplay elements which have been implemented via flowgraph which we would like to get transferred to C++. You will have to be able to work alone since you'll be the first programmer in the team. We will of course help you getting started in any way we can.

Modeller
You need to be familiar with the workflow of getting an asset from 3Ds Max into Cryengine. You need to be experienced at unwrapping models, and you have to be familiar at working with tileable textures, experience with vertexpainting and dirtlayer would also be a great plus. Some experience at texturing would also be great. As mentioned earlier we always pay a lot of attention to historic accuracy and therefore you need to be willing to put quite some time into making sure all the little details are correct.

Sound Engineer
We are searching for an experienced Sound Engineer to create high quality sounds for all the sounds needed for the environment, weapons and characters. You need to have experience at using FMod. Living close to where civil war reenactments are taking place would be a great plus.
