The Army Game Studio is looking for you. We’re home to a team of innovative and passionate game developers working on both training applications and public facing applications such as America's Army. We’re home to some of the most talented CG, animation, technology, design, and audio artists around. We’re currently looking for a 3D Artist to join our team. We are seeking artists with a passion for games and world building to become a member our art team. This individual should be comfortable modeling vehicles, props, and environmental assets. The ideal candidate will also be experienced in environment lighting. Applicants must have a strong understanding of Maya (or Max) and Unreal Engine 3, and have experience working in a production environment helping content creators get the most out of the tech.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with other artists and level designers to create geometry, textures, and lighting for interior and exterior 3D environments
- Communicate with designers, programmers and other members of the art team
- Give input on design issues and provide creative solutions
- Work from concept art or photo reference to create environments, props, and/or vehicles
- Actively seek review and input from other artists, designers, and Art Lead
- Provide accurate time estimates and hit dates

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preference given to Artists with Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or equivalent (Architecture or Industrial Design)
- Ability to create both urban and rural environments with organic modeling
- Artist with a traditional background with environment concepts
- Knowledge of current/next gen techniques (hi-res normal transfer to low-res)
- Unreal Engine Experience
- Bonus for concepting ability
- Bonus for lighting experience

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a production environment with at least 1 shipped title
- Must have a strong portfolio of 3D models and/or environments (preferably in Maya, both high- and low- detail)
- Strong knowledge of Maya/Max, Photoshop, and Mudbox/ZBrush
- Excellent texture painting skills
- Collaborative work ethic
- Ability to provide accurate schedule estimates and hit dates

Candidates must be willing to take an art test to be considered for the position.
