Looking for UV advice

Hey guys quick question.
I have issues when packing my UVs when I bring them into photo shop they are very pixelated. The layouts are very small and have a lot of extra space around them.
I am using 3DS Max 2012 for my unwraps.

Any advice? Thanks guys

The pixelation is normal, I don't believe 3ds Max anti aliases it's UV exports. The padding and actual layout is all up to how you pack your UVs.

How are you saving out the UV layout? If it's a compressed format that will be a problem. I normally save them as uncompressed TGA's.
