Grainy Shadows

Hey guys,
I did a quick search for this but couldn't find anything on the forums.
Just wondering if anybody has encountered a similar problem to this. It appears to be an issue with the shadows - if I turn them off they go away.. but obviously I'd like to have shadows in my scene.
I'm pretty new to cryengine so talk to me like I'm 5, lol.
