underground labrynth

creating a sort of underground labrynth, I started by making 4 unique bricks, a column and a tiled texture.

will use this stuff for a grey block,
what do you think?

As you can tell these bricks are polys not texture, Im thinking about having walls made completely out of these brick meshes.

The texture quality looks a bit off, i dont know if its the shader you use or the actual texture that gets a wattered down look with a sandstone feel

to me the textures also feel blurry. dont know if its because of low texture resolution or if its already in the maps themselfs.
I would say the dark spots are way to dark and prominent. maybe its also because you are kind of mixing the two stonetypes from your reference-pics?

maybe you could remove some of the black marks on your stones, re-arrange them in a more random fashion.
also you could go on and bake a map (normal and diffuse) out of them

and sorry: I dont understand that about the "grey block"
    -could you explain?

anyway you got a nice dark mood there allready, keep going!

the term "greyblock" means to roughly block out your level with bsp or simple geo.
