Hello I'm currently taking a character modeling for games class at Gnomon, and I'll be using this thread to track progress. The concept I chose to model is by RBranco (rbranco.cghub.com), full credit goes to him and I'll only be modeling this for student purposes.

I'm currently in the process of blocking out the char, but for now here's the concept + material breakdown.

Block in stage... I kind of half started the weapons, but I'd rather just do them separately all in one go after I'm done with the rest. It'll go faster.

It's been a while... high res version here! I'm still working on the weapons/helmet, very close to done though. Prioritizing the chick first.

Ohai. Playing catchup a bit, at the end of retoping. Ladychick is done with retopo, have a bit left on the weapons. I'm at about 14k total as of now, and the weapons won't be adding much more (maybe 1k I'm guessing). I'll go through and delete some unnecessary edge loops before UVing too, just because...because.





Also here's a medium res. of the gun...the retopo is still in progress, I'll post that version in a bit.

Working on normal maps...some glitches and crap that I need to go back and find out what's causing in UVs. WIP for now.

For some reason I keep forgetting to put the eyeballs in Mah bad. Have some soleless empty sockets in the meantime.
