maya fur clamping frequency more than 100

Hi all. So the topic says pretty much what I want to achieve. I have tried many things and looked everywhere but I am still in trouble. I have noticed that the fur is generated as a square in the uv space and the bigger uvs the more clamping model has. However my uvs are at the borders of the uv square now and for more clamping I would need to split my uvs in parts and make new uv set for each part which is not that good in my case. Another way to get more clumping is to set clumping value to a higher number but for some odd reason the maximum amount of clamping is 100. I dont see a reason why it should be max 1:(:(

Do you have any ideas how I could deal with this issue ?
